The first soccer game is tomorrow!

I couldn’t crank the ISO any higher than this.

A few weeks ago I made the decision to use remote cameras for baseball season this fall.  I decided to pick up a few D200 bodies - remember those old dinosaurs?  They are inexpensive, rugged, and fast.  What better way to test their fitness than by shooting baseball?  Combined with my new favorite lens, the 70-300VR, the D200 makes a great setup for ball games.

With soccer and baseball both happening at the same time this Fall, I’ll be busy with shooting, editing, processing, and archiving. I can’t wait.

Soccer season will be starting in about 4 weeks. I’ve been keeping an eye out for interesting soccer images. I’ll be shooting soccer and baseball at the same time!

Let this notice serve as my official request for red or orange jerseys for Fall soccer season.

Tom is going to be playing soccer in the fall. I’ve already started my research on what makes a good soccer image. It will be good to get experience shooting a different sport.
